I didn’t grow up seeing many doctors who looked like me in storybooks. So I became the woman—and the writer—I once needed. My first book, Mommy, I Want to Be a Doctor, began as a love letter to my younger self and blossomed into a movement that now reaches children, classrooms, and communities worldwide.
